Inland Waters Helmsman Certificate

Welcome to the Inland Waters Helmsman Certificate course.  The course is offered over one or two days. The one day course is recommended for those boaters that already have some experience. The two day course is recommended for those with little or no boat handling experience. Both cover:-

Introduction to the Waterways

This introductory course is aimed at those who would like a gentle, pressue free introduction to handling a narrowboat on the canal or river.  The course is normally offered over one day. Students can choose to come back the following day for the Inland Waters Helmsman Course. The course offers:-
